The decal term is the abbreviated form of the word decal. There are two types of stickers known in industry jargon as stickers screen printing side up and upside down. The labels are printed down in a clear substrate such as Mylar or polyester transparent transparent. Polyester is the generic name of the mark Mylar.
Clear polyester is also manufactured with a white sticker, and metallic silver to create and brushed polyester also known as chrome or brushed silver polyester.
