PHOENIX — Hot summers mean high electricity costs in the Valley, but an energy audit can help homeowners save $50-$200 on monthly electric bills

According to Brice Fawley, the senior auditor with Weatherwize, “There’s thousands and thousands of homes out there that are just wasting energy through leaks.”
However, “you’ve got to tackle the bigger problems first,” Fawley said. “Once you take care of those, you can go on to the next step.”
He said many homeowners are under the false impression that simply upgrading their windows or replacing their old air conditioning unit will present huge and immediate savings on their power bills.
