Does anyone think that it would look good and is it possible to make or buy a 28%?…any help would be awesome…35% all around is legal limit in GA but i understand that most cops just check front driver windows…and i know that tint fades with time so that is why i thought 28%(if possible) would look good.
All of those different shades of tint wont look good on any car. Get one shade (20% tint) all around will look good. 35% tint is too light. 20% tint is dark but light enough so the cops can still see in ur car. As long as the cops can still see u, u shouldnt have a problem. I live in WI and the legal limits here are 50% in front and 35% on back 3 windows and I have 20% all around on my car and I’ve never been pulled over. If u want pictures of cars wit tint u can go on cardomain.com

I don’t think you’d be able to stuff more than 17″ rims on an Aveo without major suspension changes. There are 50 or so selections for new rims on TIRERACK.com.

Keep in mind though, that most people buy aveo’s for their fuel economy… Stuffing huge rims on one of these can seriously affect your MPG performance.

2007 Aveo’s are a little unpopular when it comes to aftermarket upgrades. There are some factory upgrades available… Simply search “aveo accessories” on the open web.

As you know, everything in life is timing. Our country is in a severe recession and the oil/gas is fueling it. There doesn’t seem to be a light at the end of this tunnel either. Needless to say, no one wants a dinosaur. With little time to explain, the 20″ wheels don’t help matters at this point either.

If you are upside down in the payments, what is owed, I see only one solution to the problem. There are lots of dealers not selling Anything right now and they will bend over backwards to show sales on their books. Find one that will work w/u regarding what is owed on your vehicle and purchase a car from them; new or near new. You will lose on the monster truck (trade in) but you will gain on the economy car. Get rid of the headache and just chalk it up as a loss. Think of the gas money you’ll save, registration and car insurance too with the new purchase. Bite the bullet and go do it. Sorry. Best of luck.

Is it a woman or really a man?

Ok i have a boyfriend who has a really nice car.its an impala with tints and 20‘ rims and tvs in the inside. So jealousy really could be an issue but i doubt it…So he calls me up like i just got in fight.I go see him in ER and the attacker supposedly tried to poke his eye out and busted out all his windows. When we got home he took off his 2 teeshirts and i noticed he had scratches on his back and arms and face. This is odd to me because his story just has no sense to it at all he was at a aunts house who by the way he dont even really associates his self with when the fight started.I honestly believe it was a female that he was messin with.Because we have gotten into physical fights in the past.#1 i dont think a grown ass man is going to bust out windows and #2he shud have black eyes and bruises vs scratches and a red eyeball.Tell me what yall think its somethin fishy here cuz when i ask him what happened, the story changes everytime!
I pointed out (2 tee shirts) to imply that if this was really a one on one fight with a man,his shirt would be on. BUT he has scratches on his back. And he is also known as a big cheat so this wouldnt suprise me.

Car Accident Case Geico Insurance (again)?

I got some responses but I am opening up for more suggestion. Thanks

 Car Accident Case Geico Insurance?
I hope someone can help me with this situation. So what happened was that about couple weeks ago, I was trying to purchase a nissan car down in New Jersey. I drove into the parking lot of the nissan in Flemington, NJ. I was trying to park my car by turning a slight left. There were cars on the right and left of the spot I was tring to park. So a girl sat on the right car suddently open up her drive side door ( the car is a hatchback which if I could recalled has tinted window.) I braked my car , but that was too late. My front passenger headlight is crashed into the door ( the region on the her door is neither inside nor outsite. It was like edged). I got off the car and asked if any one is ok. And then, I backed up my car because the girl needed to walk out of the car . I was silly enough to not take the photo immediately. I took some photos afterward such as my car ‘s passenger head light, the girl’s car ‘s door, and the position of both cars in various view. So we called town police and the insurance company. It turns out that our insurance company is both geico. I talked to the agent regarding to the accident. I answered many questions to the agent and the police. Before the police left, he told he me ” it was her fault. So basically what happened is that the girl opened up her door into my parking spot suddently, I didn’t have enough time to respond.” So the police left without giving any of us troubles. The insurance agent talked to both the girl and me and told me that she was closing my claim number because that was her fault and it is her responsbility for the accident. Her policy had to cover my repair expense. The agent gave me the girl’s claim number. I left the scene with relief. But, one week after, another Geico insurance agent called me and told me they have open my claim number again for furthur investigation. I told them same thing I told the police and agent during the day of accident. Couple days later, the new geico insurance said the damage occured to the inner part of the door and it was both of our ( the girl and me ) fault and said I could have 2-3 second to brake my car . So my policy have to pay 50% of the repair fee. My car is a old 98 crv and the damage is minimal but the girl’s car is brand new and the whole door would have to be replaced I think. I would wait ultil Monday to ask the agent what cause them to think I could have 2-3 second to brake my car and how is the damage occured to the girls’s car ‘s inner door. Until now, I hope some one can give me some suggestions. Any suggestions would really be appreciated. Thank you.

Best Answer – Chosen by Asker

Here’s why its your fault.

Your headlight was damaged. That means – you drove into her open door.

Had the damage been to your driver side door panel – then you can make the argument that she opened the door into your car. That’s because your headlight, fender passed her door and then she hit your side. As it is, the front of your car (headlight) hit the edge of her door.

You have a responsibility to be on the lookout for doors opening in a parking lot. When you are pulling into a parking space and there is a person sitting in a car in an adjacent space, you need to be on the lookout for that person opening the door.
But the damage was occured when she opened up her door a little bit( not fully open. maybe 20 percents). If someone is going to get off their car , they most likely opened up their door continuously in this case very fast. Also, She uses her hand and I used my brake pedal.Who have more time2 respond

basically any accident in a parking lot will b termed equal fault….but if u have a police report that says it was her fault then u can fight it…….

but basically to fight it u most likely would have to hire a lawyer……….so might b cheaper to just pay for it….

This is VERY typical when both drivers have the same insurance company. If you and the other would have had different insurance companies, I’m guessing that they would have determined the other person to be 100% at fault because there is a law that says you may not open your door into traffic. She did open her door into traffic and in my humble opinion, it is her fault. Geico is trying to save the other driver from a claim and as I have said, this is common. As it is, there is little you can do except to appeal the liability determination, citing the police report and the law about opening ones door i

Car alarm in valet mode. Cant get it out!?

How do i get my car alarm out of valet mode? Please Help!?
I got a new car and noticed a red blinking light under my dash. I felt it, and it felt like i could pinch/push the light/button as if it were a button. So i did…. Now my car alarm wont chirp or beep when bumped into or the handle is tried. When i got my windows tinted someone told me it was in VALET MODE. So i did a little research. And i am not sure what brand my alarm is. I do NOT have the keypad on my key ring. There is no switch. Just this button to my knowledge. The button is on the back of the light. I dont know if this helps, but i have a 4 door 2004 ford focus. It is a very nice alarm. Again im not sure what brand. But it has a nice sensor. If i tap the hood lightly, it will beep once. If i bump it kind of tough, it has a 3 second beep. And if i hit the car hard, it goes off full force. Also, if you try the handles while it is locked it beeps. Im not sure what to do.

I have looked all over my car for this “hidden switch” some users talk about. There is no hidden switch. I also DO NOT have a keypad. The wireless remote. I also tried unhooking the battery to the car for well over 12 hours. After hooking it back up…. nothing.

Also i have tried SEVERAL (over 15) different combinations to the alarm code. For example turning the key to the ON position, then pressing the button, then turning the car off. (then it is supposed to work) None of these worked for me.

Seriously anyone that can give me an answer that will get this to work will get 20 bucks in the mail from me. I am a man of my word.

PLEASE HELP ME!!! -Chris the depressed car owner, who might end up paying $100+ to get it fixed.

REMEMBER: This car alarm is NOT a stock Ford alarm.
THANKS!
in response to the reply below: I want it armed because i have valuable audio in my car . It is really nice as well and i dont want to let something like that goto waste. I disarmed it because i bought the car brand new and saw the button, so i hit it….. putting it in valet mode. If i hit it again…. it does nothing. So no…. it is NOT the switch. please someone help
To the part about arming/disarming it: It was synced with my locks. For example if i hit lock on my stock keyring/keypad it would lock the car and arm, if i hit unlock, it would unlock the car and disarm.

Dude – blue/white headlights are Xenon lights, thay are different from Halogen lights and come as standard on lots of new cars.

Xenon lights give a much better light, which is why premium cars have them.

You can get your car modified using a kit from Ebay or get an Auto electrician to do it for you. You can choose how “blue” the lights are, but don’t go over 6000k.

Arielle, in my opinion, this situation presents this one main thought: If the relationship develops and gets to a point where it’s really serious, are you prepared to be a mother figure to his little girl? I see by your question title that you’re 18 right? Being that you are an adult now, it’s definitely your choice and if you feel that this relationship is what you may want in the future and the circumstances are right, you should go for it. Don’t let anyone make you feel that you’re incapable of being a mother figure or that you can’t help him take care of his daughter, if you have confidence that you can do anything, regardless of age, I think you should give it a try and see where it goes. Hope everything works out for you!

Can Cop in CT pull you over for a false reason?

I live in Connecticut and was driving my wife’s 2001 Saturn SL2 with tinted windows. It was a little after 10pm so it was dark out and it wasn’t a very lit area plus it was raining. Well there was a cop sitting between a building and some other structure and after I passed him he pulled out. I was doing the speed limit and had stopped at a red light maybe 20 feet from where he was. When he pulled me over he stated the reason he stopped me was because I wasn’t wearing a seat belt. I was in fact wearing my seat belt and I know at that time of night I know he couldn’t see inside of my car. I did end up getting a ticket for forgetting to put my new insurance card in the car (it was a week expire which sucks) and for not having a front plate (haven’t had 1 in 7 years). I feel like I was being profiled for the fact I had tints and driving later at night. My question is can a cop just pull you over and say anything just to pull you over? I don’t have anything on my record so I am not sure why he pulled me over ,especially because I know he couldn’t see in my car when I drove by.
Bflowing It’s ok to have tints in CT as long as I believe they are 30%. The tints are legal.

Why would someone follow/stalk one?

Okay, So I’ve been dating my boyfriend for 5 Amazing months. And he lives a long 20 minutes away from me but that doesn’t stop us from seeing eachother. And his cousin lives within blocks from me. Like 11 blocks or something. Anyways,. One day me, my best friend, and her boyfriend were sitting taking a break from walking. (now my boyfriend knows who these ppl are)
Their I am sitting minding my own business when my boyfriend’s cousin’s mom drives by, she doesnt know what i look like but i know its her i remember her. And takes her eyes completely off the road and looks at me oddly. (shes in the car by herself) then she continues going up the street and minutes later comes back with her son, my boyfriend’s cousin. And they turn but right before they stare at us. Oh okay.. so we happen to stop a couple blocks but were not near their street y’know? A bit weird. But okay. Then they come around the block again, and again and again and again, so finally i tell my friend, and friend’s boyfriend to look the other way. Then there my mom is, pulls up. Because I called her to come get us because we walked around town for idk hours. Then we had to take a differnt route Road construction. And at the stop light who do we see? Boyfriend’s Cousin and mom. Then agaiin stareing and following us.
Next day me and my friend, same friend, let’s call her Kat. So this won’t get confusing anymore.
Me and Kat walk around town. Everywhere we go we keep seeing this two colored truck. Tinted windows. Kat goes maybe their looking for a house. Yeah sure. If everywhere we go is where their looking for the house. Y’know? Still weird. Okay. So we walked hours from my house. And we’re getting back. It’s about 7ish. That truck is passing my house. Then it turned around and passed it again. And repeated. For quite awhile. Then 2 in the morning we decide let’s sit on the porch It’s freezing in my house. Okay. Let’s. It’s stilling driving pass my house. Again. And again. And again.
So the next day we go to the pool. Me, Kat, and kat’s boyfriend. We see My boyfriend’s cousins mom. Their. Weird? Yes. But we don’t act like we notice. So. Now we’re leaving the pool. And were driving up to this place to drop kat off because she has practice. So we had to take a different route to it Road construction. And we accidently pass boyfriend’s cousin’s house. But what do i see in that yard of his? That truck. Not sure. But looks just like it. k, so we drop kat off. accidently go by again. yep think that’s the truck. but who i see walking our way? The cousin.
Then later I check to see if that’s the truck. That. Is. The. Truck. Wtf? Their folliwing us?
The cousin I know, is nice to me doesn’t like kat. But what the heck is going on?
Anyways. I try to stay in for the next couple of days. Never really hear trucks driving by, but that truck made a loud sound. And I contantly heard that sound, outside the days i stayed in. But I didn’t even peak. The next day i decide, hey this is crazy im no longer staying in. Maybe im just crazy?
Well we (me and mom) went to the store. And as we were leaving i seen his dad. His dad stared at me? man wtf??? As he was going back to the car. I seen what looked like his cousin in the front seat. Then I kept hearing trucks as i stayed inside once again.

Am i being stalked or what?
idk. Maybe im crazy. Any advice?

If they’re stalking you that much they must have done it when your boyfriend was with you, if they didn’t I would really wonder what’s going on. Talk to him.

I can tell you for sure that they can be violent and possessive and can go insane over someone they love. Probably the reason why are we still together. They can be also very selfish.I think you guy is in love with you and just can’t let it go. Just keep on avoiding him as soon as he meets another one he will be madly in love again. For pisces every love is a new love. This is so recent for him and it will take him a bit to get over you.

-new head unit / deck (that can play MP3 cds made on the computer)
-new car speakers
-subwoofers in trunk (probably getting 2 12″ Kicker L7s)
-wiring kit for the amp and Kickers
-Dynamat to reduce rattle
-20” or 22″ rims (a package that comes with rims and tires)
-replacement headlights
-replacement side mirrors

my suggestion is to buy your stereo equipment new. Because of the warranty and the company warranty. I go to www.cruthfield.com. You can get free dash kits, wirings harness, and speakers harness. Also, you will get instuctions on how to do it yourself. All the kits and harness will cost more $150. You get it free!
Then you saving money on installation fees. Your rims, that up to you which company you want to buy from and the package they offer. The replacement headlights and mirror. Google it. They may have factory headlights and mirrors. So in all, you may spend more than $5,000. I do stereo equipment first, headlight and mirrors, and then the rims.

Indeed, branded spoilers for the Audi are quite pricey.

Since I was on a budget back then and did not want to spend much cash on my Audi 200, I opted for OEM spoilers… Generic ones.

What planet or star did I see?

OK, this is going to be tricky to explain… Last night (March 20, 2008) possibly sometime around 10pm, can’t remember for sure, I was looking out my window which faces south, I can see the moon to my left (southeast) and I was looking around at the sky and when I looked to the right (southwest) I saw a fairly small twinkling dot that was alot brighter then all of the other stars in the sky and it seemed to have a blue-whitish tint to it. I tried to look at it with a pair of binoculars but that didn’t help much. And no, it wasn’t a plane or jet. It stood still in the sky and seemed to move along with the rest of the stars as the night passed. I’m new to starwatching and find it interesting and I’d just like to know if anyone can help me figure out what I was looking at so I know for next time (hopefully tonight). Oh yeah, and I live in North Bay, Ontario, Canada, which is about 4 hours directly north of Toronto.
Thanks.

mariok answers:

It was likely the star Sirius, the brightest star in Earth’s skies.
It is a blue-white main sequence star only about 8.6 light years away.
Stars will twinkle due to turbulence and the changing density of our atmosphere (planets generally don’t twinkle unless the air is very turbulent or the planet is near the horizon).

Sirius is visible in northern skies for most of the late fall, winter, and early spring.
