Window Tint (Auto) Bubbles?
Okay, I got my windows tinted professionally on Wednesday. The bubbles are still not disappearing. I haven’t touched them or even driven the car. These aren’t small bubbles here. I got my husband’s car done over the summer and his are perfect (same place). Mine look like crap. Now, the weather’s only been in the 50′s w/clouds since then. So should I wait til Monday and call them/take it back? I am so p*ssed!

I’d give it a week…. Then have them check it. That’s what I tell my customers as soon as they pick up their vehicles. Its most likely water bubbles between the film and the glass….believe it or not, if its leftover water it will go away. Look on the outside of the window and if the bubble basically is “white” compared to the color of the film, its an air bubble. The water bubbles are hard to see from the outside of the vehicle. Cold weather prolongs the film curing process. Really though, I’m sure most people know the difference between air and water bubbles so if you think it looks like crap then it probably is!! The customer is always right they say! I hope this helps U!

I want to know where can i do the tint window and smoked taillight to my car ? I’m living in seattle

Any tint shop will be able to do your windows. They cannot do your tail lamps. You have to take your car to a body shop and have them paint your tail lamps to get the “smoked” look. Keep in mind that when you get a ticket from an officer or fail an inspection because of the smoked tail lamps, there is no going back. You must purchase a new set of tail lamps.

what kind of experiance have you had with self installing window tint kits for autos?
Out of the usual product line (Axious, Black Magic & Auto expressions), who has had the best luck etc. thanks!
Just considering using a do it your self tint kit for the time being until I have it proffessionally done.

Seriously we would definitely recommend that you have an expert do it. The films we use like Llumar http://www.llumar.com will not turn colors or bubble. You will get a lifetime warranty and most shops offer economically priced options

How could you calculate the prize to charge for the window tint job.?
Can somebory that has worked doing window tinting for residence, office or auto tell how could you estimete the prize for a job, how could you calculate the prize to charge for the window tint job.

Depends on your LOCATION really… Here in albany GA I charge $6.50 per Square foot of glass, thats the norm for large office buildings etc… If there are tons of small windows.. I still charge for the square footage, but also add $5 per window.

I have black car and iam thinking to tinting the glasses with very dark tint,,but some told me is might be illegal

No it is not illegal, but there are limitations and rules that you have to follow.
The law that covers window applications is MCL 257.709 . The use of tinting is limited to the rear side windows, the rear window if the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides, and the top 4 inches of the front side windows. There is a limited exception for medical necessity with a doctor’s prescription, which allows for tinting to be applied to the front side windows as well. Michigan does not have a specification for the darkness of the window application, but does prohibit applications with a solar reflectivity greater than 35%.

after reading the california auto code it seems that window tint is not legal. is this a true statement?

I do not think the Vehicle Code says window tints are illegal. I believe you cannot make your windows darker than a certain level. This has to do with police officers’ safety as when the windows are too dark they cannot see into your windows which makes it harder for them to assess risk when they approach your vehicle. For example, it is illegal to get limo level tinting on your car.
