2008 Chevy Cobalt Speedometer Light?

I have a 2008 Chevy Cobalt and I just got the windows tinted so it’s darker inside now and when I have my sunglasses on it’s a little bit harder to see the speedometer (I can still see it though). But anyways I was wondering how to turn the background lights on for the speedometer during the day. They turn on at night but I can’t figure out how to turn them on manually. I tried turning the auto headlights off and switching them to manual on thinking the car would think it was night time but that didn’t work. Anyone know how to turn the speedometer background lights?

i have a 98 dodge dakota sport, how much is it worth?

my friend has a 1998 Dodge Dakota Sport with a 3.9L 5spd auto . it has 10 inch subs in the back and 4 poineer speakers, five inch. It has a custom roll pan, ABS new front tires, warn drive tire. It has aftermacket vinals reading EARTHQUAKE in the rear window . flowmaster super 44 2 1/2 inch pipes, with a moderate muffler. tinted rear windows, it is a crew cab. front bumper has a few scratces and there are a few dents. how much would you think it was worth? he is looking into buying a new truck or working on this one

What would a be a comparable vehicle for replacing my Oldsmobile Intrigue GL?

I love my 1999 Intrigue GL! Despite a few quirks which were fixed by GM, it has exceeded my once hesistant expectations. I have climate control, tinted windows, 3.8L engine, leather, steering wheel controls and auto headlights. I have reached the 150,000 mark and am now becoming increasingly concerned about being left on the side of the road one of these days. I am looking at about $1000 in repairs to prepare for a 700 mile trip. The car has served its purpose and it is now coming time to sadly say goodbye.

So I’d rather put the money towards a new/newer vehicle that’ll last beyond the trip and hopefully eight years as this one has. I want another good quality car and I’d rather go as American made as possible, but I’m open to a foreign vehicle for better quality. My concerns are of course gas efficiency (at least 27 mpg), comparable options and engine, and value. I don’t require a standard car either as long the mpg is up to par.

Anyone have any suggestions please?? I’m stuck…

These aren’t the exact cars I’m getting, but they’ll be close because I’m getting a 00-03 jetta and tinting the windows and putting new rims/tires on it.
